Fire Safety Begins With Prevention

  • Carefully inspect the areas of your home that are most prone to fire: the kitchen, electric appliances and wiring, and the heating system. Look for other hot spots throughout the home - such as flammable items near heat sources, frayed or worn cords or poor ventilation sources.

  • Install and maintain smoke alarms throughout your home.

  • Keep ABC type fire extinguishers in your kitchen and garage.

  • Do not run your clothes dryer when you are not home.

  • Do not leave cooking unattended.

  • Do not overload electrical outlets.
